*Both cast & crew spots are limited and will be filled on a first come, first serve basis.

Please note that everyone registered will have a role in this production.

Wednesdays from 4:00pm-6:30pm.

Program begins September 11th.

Additional rehearsals to be held during show week.

Performances will be held the weekend of January 18th, 2025.​

It's our show now, GALA! The ghost-with-the-most comes to the stage in Beetlejuice JR., the frightfully funny musical based on the beloved motion picture turned Broadway phenomenon. Lydia Deetz is a strange and unusual teenager, still grieving the loss of her mother and obsessed with the whole “being dead thing.” Lucky for Lydia, she and her father move to a new house haunted by a recently deceased couple and Beetlejuice, a delightful demon with a real zest for life. When Lydia calls on Beetlejuice to scare away anyone with a pulse, this double-crossing specter shows his true stripes, unleashing a (Nether)world of pandemonium.

With music and lyrics by Tony Award-nominee Eddie Perfect and a book by Tony Award-nominated pair Anthony King and Scott Brown, Beetlejuice was nominated for eight 2019 Tony Awards including Best New Musical. A viral "sucks-yes" on social media, this musical struck a chord with young theatre lovers who adored its unabashed humor and emotional honesty. Created for the generation that made it a hit, Beetlejuice JR. is a wacky theatrical party for all!

At Opening Night Theater, we focus on community, confidence, and character. Our after school musical theatre program offers theatre fundamentals, scene work, movement, choreography, singing, and more!

​

Our crew will have the opportunity to assist with set design, wardrobe, tech, makeup, and stage management.

​

Rehearsals will be held at the Los Angeles Technical Trade College (LATTC), at 400 West Washington Blvd.

​

We will have *2* of our ON! Theater directors present to help chaperone the walk from GALA to the LATTC, less than a half mile straight down 23rd Street.

 

Our team will also support in coordinating carpool efforts for those that will be driving to rehearsal, as well as carpools from rehearsals to home.
