Audition materials will be sent out to cast participants upon registration. Auditions will take place during our first rehearsal day. Please note that everyone who has registered and paid will have a role in this production.

Saturdays from 10:00am-1:00pm.

Program begins September 24th.

Additional show week rehearsals following the holiday break.

 

Final performances tentatively schedule for Saturday, January 14th at 1pm and 5pm.

Welcome to the world of London, England in 1910 — and, specifically, the dysfunctional home of the Banks family. Jane and Michael, the young Banks children, have sent yet another nanny packing, dismissing these children as hopelessly and irrevocably spoiled and misbehaved. With a father who works constantly and mother who is always distracted, Jane and Michael have suffered without strong caretaking forces in their lives. But when the magical Mary Poppins flies in on the wind, she brings whimsy, magic, and disciplined common sense to the children’s lives. Mary Poppins’ transformational influence does not stop with the children — eventually, she teaches the grown-ups, as well, to open up and realize that “anything can happen if you let it.”

At Opening Night Theater, we focus on community, confidence, and character. Our after school musical theatre program offers theatre fundamentals, scene work, movement, choreography, singing, games, bonding, and more!

Rehearsals will be held at Harmony Toluca Lake, 4301 Cahuenga Blvd, Toluca Lake, CA 91602.

Dress rehearsal and the final performance will be held at the beautiful Barnsdall Gallery Theatre at 4814 Hollywood Blvd (see images below).

Registration includes one complimentary show ticket per performer, with additional show tickets to be purchased at a later date.

​

Our program will operate in accordance with the recommended CDC guidelines during Covid-19, and will follow all health and safety protocols required by our rehearsal and performance venues. Read more on our FAQ PAGE.
